  49/365 – The Tailor

Yet another shot of a profession one would never expect to see on the street. I’m not entirely sure where the power for the sewing machine comes from, but apparently it works.  I don’t think this kid actually works here given that he’s got his feet crossed and isn’t actually sewing, but I do know that actual sewing does takes place here because I’ve seen and older man sit at this machine every day, head bent over the moving needle, hands pushing the material along to complete each stitch. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to snap a picture of him working. But I figured for now, this photo manages to capture the essence of the unusual and cause anyone who may be passing by to stop and take a second look.
