153/365 Twilight Glow (Alexandria, Virginia)

153/365 – Twilight Glow

I initially titled this picture Dayglow Walker because of the woman in the fluorescent orange shirt crossing the street. After naming it I decided to double check the spelling and found out that not only does the word dayglow actually exist in the dictionary, but it actually refers to a scientific phenomenon resulting in a dim light from the upper atmosphere caused by emissions of atoms and molecules ionized by solar radiation. It turns out there are several variations of this word depending on the time of day – hence my new title, Twilight Glow.

I often wonder how I functioned without google in my life.
